LIEGE, BELGIUM - (HealthTech Wire / News) — Faced with the multiple challenges associated with inter-hospital network, Medasys has expanded its solutions to ensure efficient care co-ordination and optimisation of the patient journey via data consolidation and resource pooling.

To be compliant with the merging strategies adopted by institutions, Medasys has defined a trajectory catalogue that responds to approaches targeting HIS interoperability or the implementation of a unique and multi-legal entities system.

A unique technical and functional base ensuring complete patient care

Over the years, Medasys has highlighted the relevance of its multi-legal entities offering within territories in various contexts such as in Corsica where seven institutions share medical data through a unique EMR. Upstate, the hospitals based in South Champagne (France) have chosen to adopt a Group strategy to improve territorial cooperation.

An interoperability platform providing co-ordinated patient support

Another type of HIS convergence is based on an interoperability platform – the DxPlaftorm powered by X-Value offer – which enables the dissemination of informations between different patient records.

Built on the DxCare base, Medasys EMR, the platform, enriched with Dedalus’ solutions embeds technical components that address large scale territorial interoperability issues (e.g. MPI, XDS server). For instance, for the computerisation project of healthcare institutions in the region of Daquing (China), Dedalus X-Value platform interconnects, in a population area of nearly three million people, 1,300 institutions which annually exchange 26 million documents.

Built on this interoperability platform, innovative solutions have been developed to facilitate follow-up and patient co-ordinated care as part of the care journey, incorporating home care, and a web portal designed for the patient or the practitioner.

The management of technical platforms

With its solutions for radiology, laboratory, pharmacy and chemotherapy, Medasys has a complete offering, operational in a territorial context. Their solutions for laboratories and radiology are able to centrally manage all sites spread over a territory by ensuring connectivity, centralisation and dissemination of results. Similarly, DxPharm a multi-institutional tool for pharmaceutical validation, allows the standardisation of pharmacies management within a territory. DxPharm also integrates a solution for the complete management of a chemotherapy protocol.

Medasys is thus able to support the convergence of information systems toward a federated or centralised HIS thanks to its reliable and secure solutions.
